[VIDEO] Atomic RC AMZ 4WD: Compact Yet Deadly
In the world of 1/27 touring cars, maneuverability and cornering capability matters as much as speed. Most races are won with good cornering techniques. Thanks to a relatively low cost barrier to entry and the emphasis on driving skill, 1/27 scale competition has heated up worldwide.
Oh, and touring cars of that scale usually run massively overpowered motors comparative to their size and weight. Nothing says competitive like a 5000kV brushless motor strapped to a pocket rocket weighing a mere hundred-plus grams.
Atomic RC's AMZ Touring Car is just that kind of fiendish little performance monster. Sold as a kit and ultra-lightweight, the car is equipped with a 1.5mm carbon fiber chassis and upper deck, and driven by a professional Hobbywing micro brushless motor and ESC. Additional features include high-precision ball differentials, universal swing shafts, and I.A.S. adjustable shocks for ride height and weight distribution.
The car kit and chassis is cross-compatible with Kyosho Mini Z A.S.C. series parts and vice versa. Sold with a 2.4GHz transmitter, all you need to do is put it together, strap on a Lexan body, stick in a 2S LiPo and start ripping up the 1/27 circuit!
