Axial New Release - RR10 Bomber Rock Racer
Hats off to Axial. Given that they've just released a trophy truck, we're a bit surprised that they'd have something else in store for the coming winter holidays. So when someone snapped some shots of an upcoming Axial rock racer we went a little nuts.
The RR10 is a new platform for Axial, similar to the Yeti and SCX10. It's a 1/10 4WD with a low CG and optimized suspension, designed specifically to tackle rock racing events like the off-road King of the Hammers where both speed and toughness is the name of the game.
The RR10 in its current configuration is sold as a "Bomber" RTR, with an impact-resistant tube frame chassis built to soak up damage sustained at high speeds on the roughest of terrain. Other goodies include aluminum King shocks and BF Goodrich KR2 tires over 2.2 Walker Evans wheels. The magazine price is a little under $400.
