Project Tamiya Lunch Box - Part 1

So why the Lunch Box? For nostalgic reason. Back when I was a kid I use to own one of 1/32th Tamiya Lunch Box so if I had to choose a Tamiya kit, Lunch Box would be my first choice. I've done enough research on this Lunch Box and there are many fun upgrades that are available, but I want to give this Lunch Box a test run with stock first before I go into these upgrades.

Anyways, let's get buildin'! I started off with installing plastic body mounts and the ESC on the chassis, nothing complex so far. From what I heard, the body mounts breaks really easily, so that's gonna be one of the essential upgrades that I'll be doing after I got the Lunch Box up and running.

After that was done, I went on to the gear box, the greasing was quite messy and I think I might have used a tad too much...

Got the stock motor and the wheelie bar mounted, the gearbox is looking good so far!
Mounted the rear gear box on the chassis, along with the awful stock rear shocks. Luckily, the kit had the extra metal braces for you to make the modification for future. Those stock shocks are going into the bin after I make my test run.

So that's my progress so far after 3 hours. Should be able to finish the rest in a couple days. Click here to see me finish the rest of the Lunch Box.
