RC Trailblazr Boomerang Type G Shocks Review

First impressions out of the box was certainly scale eye candy! These shocks have a very scale appeal with an armada of back up hardware, including extra springs. A set of springs is pre-installed in the shocks, but there are a ton of options for your off-road rig's stability. You can remove the springs, change up the spring rate or just run them with your favorite oil viscosity. Although right out of the box they show supreme potential and are very smooth with no oil and just springs. These 110mm shocks have unlimited appeal when it comes to mount locations for the fully functional reservoir. We decided to mount the rear ones right in the bed of the truck, but I can picture some cool ideas to show them off; maybe mount the fronts right on the hood! Within seconds of installation and testing, we found them to be incredibly smooth under maximum articulation and no oil leaks due to the interior seal protection. The only negative we found was the connecting hose being a bit thin and had the potential of ripping easily, but I would opt out on the stock hose to find a clear replacement just to be able to see the oil in action! These are a scale item and external reservoirs are generally used to eliminate shock fade due to heat and oil foaming, although I don't think this would be an issue on a scale crawler.

Thank you for watching and as always until next time. Find the Type G's by clicking the Shop Now link below, and check out AsiaTees Installation video here.
