Serpent Viper 977E 1/8 4WD Electric Touring Car

The new released 1/8 electric on road car shares the same body and tires with the gas powered design Viper 977, so the suspension geometry is the same. But Michael Salven, the designer of the Viper 977-e, intended to design a car with better centre of gravity and weight distribution for a more effective transmission and to have the car as light as possible.

The Serpent Viper 977-e features a carbon fibre chassis 5mm and topplate 2.5mm with carbon fibre battery holder that could be fully adjustable to fit most 3S LiPo batteries low and balanced. The 2 belt system with 5mm belts goes with large pullies and ballraced belt tensioners. The car also comes with a aluminum 7075 T6 motor-holder to easily swap the motors. The car weighs around 2600 grams, making it a light and fast car with a top speed close to 115km/h to 120km/h. The car will be released in mid September 2014.
