Updated Boom Racing Defender D90 & D110 Chassis

For the past few years these D90 and D110 chassis have been very popular for scale builds. Now Boom Racing has taken the original design and improved on it to make it even better than it was.

The improved version has a few new things such as a new designed center driveshaft, which are stronger and is smoother operating than the old ones. The battery tray has also been changed slightly with longer end tabs to hold the battery in more securely. The front and rear diffs have had an overhaul and been redesigned with a heavy duty beveled helical gear and has bigger teeth (27/10T) and is a lot stronger than the previous version.

To improve the steering a few changes have been made, the steering links have been made thicker so there is less flex and the knuckles have been redesigned to a single piece knuckle so there is no more stripping out threads, stronger construction overall and prevents the two little screws becoming loose. Also it has a deeper bearing housing that allows you to install a bigger ball bearing in the knuckle that will last longer than the smaller ball bearing.

For a cleaner and more scale look it has two new lower profile PHAT truss on the front and rear axles to keep the weight down. To improve the shocks Boom Racing have better o-rings fitted and springs has been changed from blue to black for a more realistic damping movement. The front and rear bumpers have had some small changes also, with holes added to them so you are able to attach some towing hitches and accessories for a more scale look. Overall the new version is built a lot stronger but still with scale at mind.
