Depending on the particular unit you get, it may function very well or just create a lot of noise and end up in erratic acceleration. I have 10+ of these, 4-5 have the latter problem.

3 out of 5 ordered came with off-centered main gear. I have been using this ball differential on about 15 cars I have. I want to believe that this is a quality control issue, as I had more of these earlier and all worked fine. The off-centered main gear touches the motor gear unevenly as it turns and this causes a lot of noise and erratic acceleration.
