If you have a Taranis, and you fly a multirotor, the X4R-SB should probably be the receiver. you're using. It supports the SBUS protocol, which has lower latency than CPPM used by the old standard, the D4R-II. For more on that topic see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNpw-5R5exY The other receiver you might choose would be the XSR. The main difference is that the XSR comes with a micro connector instead of pins. This is not such a big deal, since it's easy to de-pin the X4R if you like. The other difference of the XSR is that its antennas are soldered on. For me, this is a big down-side, because mini quads chop up antennas a lot. The X4R-SB has u.FL connectors for its antennas, making replacement a matter of snapping one on.

This is another excellent light weight receiver from FrSky. It works exceptionally well with my mini quad.

Impressed with the top quality multirotor & FPV products U stock, but these categories need to be significantly expanded. All of the products I purchased are a 5. Making next order shortly!
Other Upgrades/Parts Recommended by Reviewer: Limited selection quad frames. Add: Xhover, Neato, Sparrow frames (HK designer), Falcon QQ, Dquad (Europe, NL), & Fossil Stuff (UK). Believe most of these are manufactured in Guandong, Dongguan area. FPV goggles - add VUEXL. Excellent price, value - superior to ALL of the Chinese knock-offs at about same price. Equivalent to Head Play. All top quality & would benefit E/SE Asia customers.overall
