PRODUCT INFORMATION:
  • The 2WD buggy The Frog will be a model familiar to many who joined in the first R/C boom of the 1980s. Now, it serves as the inspiration for this new model, the Neo Fighter Buggy. At home both on- and off-road, this 2WD buggy features a lightweight yet tough monocoque frame that protects vital equipment such as the servo and battery from damage; its long form also offers great stability.

Coupled with friction dampers and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, it means the Neo Fighter Buggy performs well even on difficult off-road surfaces. Such a combination of hassle-free assembly and high-performance, light-on-its-feet handling is sure to recommend this model not only to fans of the past, but also to the next generation of R/C racers!

The stylish slimline form of this chassis stems from its lightweight yet durable monocoque frame, which features a longitudinally-positioned battery and the R/C equipment along the centerline for excellent balance.

The combination of a long 287mm wheelbase and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension married to friction dampers with long arms, allows the model to handle with stability on poor surfaces. Ribbed front and square spike rear tires provide ample grip, and the rear-positioned gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and dirt, with the built-in differential gear offering smooth cornering.

Front suspension arms are attached at a 25-degree angle to improve off-road ability.

Rear gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and dirt, and the built-in differential provides smooth cornering.

Dust cover protects the model's R/C equipment from sand and dust, helping prevent running trouble.

The sticker sheet includes logos used on the original Frog model, plus Neo Fighter Buggy logos.

Paint the tough polycarbonate body and apply markings as you like to create your own cool racer!

First In Quality Around the World
First In Quality Around the World
Since its start with educational wooden models in 1948, Tamiya has unswervingly striven to be "First in Quality Around the World". This refers not only to quality with respect to products, but also to its dedication to the hobby industry as a whole. From the planning, design, mold construction, molding, and packaging to the various forms of graphic design found on the packaging, assembly manuals, etc., Tamiya's in-house manufacturing process allows for attention to detail indispensable for the pursuit of hobby excellence.

The phrase "Tamiya Standard" has come to be used among modeling enthusiasts the world over to describe the high level of quality unique to Tamiya. In fact, Tamiya's scale models possess such intricate detail that they are often described by modelling connoisseurs as "museum items". This stalwart commitment to total quality has launched Tamiya to the forefront of the world's hobby industry, and continues to promise an exciting future.

It all started in 1946, when Mr. Yoshio Tamiya, the founder, opened a saw mill and lumber business in Shizuoka. Tamiya ventured into modeling in 1948, with a scale wooden ship model kit. Since then, Tamiya has continued to grow, producing models known as "First in Quality Around the World".

In 1976, Tamiya entered the RC market with their first RC model, the Porsche 934 Turbo RSR. Now, having just passed the 30th Anniversary of the first Tamiya RC model, they are sold in markets both within the country and worldwide.

Tamiya America, Inc. sponsors the annual Tamiya/Con model contest and the Tamiya Championship Series races (TCS). TCS races are held monthly at venues around the country and culminate in the National Championship Event which is held once a year at the Tamiya America raceway that resides immediately adjacent to the distribution and administrative center. all the Tamiya products are available here at the largest online RC store.
