PRODUCT INFORMATION:

  • The Landfreeder Quadtrack is a fresh new twist on the fun world of Tamiya R/C. This kit uses a new variant of the TT-02 chassis with three-sided track units in place of the wheels: the result is awesome traction that can be used to take on rough terrain. Furthermore, the polycarbonate truck body comes already pre-painted in Tamiya PS-5 black.

This is an electric radio control car assembly kit for a pickup truck that has a delta (triangular) shaped truck (crawler) unit mounted on the axle instead of front and rear tires. The chassis is based on the shaft drive 4WD TT-02. The truck unit of interest uses a resin truck (crawler) that can be assembled using metal pins, and consists of a sprocket wheel that is connected to the drive shaft to transmit power and eight rollers.

It has a wider ground contact area than tires, has excellent climbing performance, and is hard to stack even on rough roads such as snowy fields, sandy beaches, and muddy roads, and exhibits stable grip. In addition, it is equipped with a dustproof polycarbonate chassis cover and front inner fender to improve driving reliability. The body is made of polycarbonate, which is the image of a pickup truck from the 1980s. The body is black, the window is smoked, and the wheel arch is cut. In addition, the grill guard equipped with fog lamps and the roll bar are plated parts, and the scale feeling is sufficient.

The chassis is based on the shaft drive 4WD TT-02, and adopts the TT-02FT with the front and rear tires changed to truck units. The truck unit is attached to the upper and lower suspension arms, and the power of the drive shaft is transmitted to the truck by the sprocket wheel. Eight rollers are placed on the ground plane. In addition, it has a swing mechanism, and the third roller can move up and down independently.

The grounding property is further improved. Of course, the extra road clearance by installing the truck unit is also a big attraction on rough roads. The truck is made of resin and adopts a connection assembly type using metal pins. Compared to rubber, it has less drive loss and can run smoothly even at low speeds. Moreover, there are two types of tops (footboards), a flat standard type and a glosser type with protrusions. You can select according to the road surface. The motor is equipped with a torque CR tune as standard equipment to improve running performance on rough roads.

    Features:
    • 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 425, width: 247mm.
    • The Landfreeder body comes molded in polycarbonate, pre-painted Black (PS-5) and with Smoke (PS-31) painted windows. Separate plated parts recreate grille cover, fog lamps and roll bar.
    • The TT-02FT is a variant of the TT-02 chassis, with four tracks on its suspension.
    • Each of the three-sided track units is 39.3mm in width and has a contact area of 60mm length. Tracks require assembly from link parts, and offer efficient traction.
    • Two types of elastomer track link (standard and grouser) are included for setup options.
    • Track units are attached to suspension arms via plates, and each features a sprocket and four rollers. The third roller is sprung to further enhance performance.
    • Polycarbonate chassis cover and wheel well liners give protection from dust and dirt encountered during off-road driving.
    • TT-02 four-bevel differentials and identical suspension arms are used
    • • Requires: 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery pack and compatible charger.

First In Quality Around the World
First In Quality Around the World
Since its start with educational wooden models in 1948, Tamiya has unswervingly striven to be "First in Quality Around the World". This refers not only to quality with respect to products, but also to its dedication to the hobby industry as a whole. From the planning, design, mold construction, molding, and packaging to the various forms of graphic design found on the packaging, assembly manuals, etc., Tamiya's in-house manufacturing process allows for attention to detail indispensable for the pursuit of hobby excellence.

The phrase "Tamiya Standard" has come to be used among modeling enthusiasts the world over to describe the high level of quality unique to Tamiya. In fact, Tamiya's scale models possess such intricate detail that they are often described by modelling connoisseurs as "museum items". This stalwart commitment to total quality has launched Tamiya to the forefront of the world's hobby industry, and continues to promise an exciting future.

It all started in 1946, when Mr. Yoshio Tamiya, the founder, opened a saw mill and lumber business in Shizuoka. Tamiya ventured into modeling in 1948, with a scale wooden ship model kit. Since then, Tamiya has continued to grow, producing models known as "First in Quality Around the World".

In 1976, Tamiya entered the RC market with their first RC model, the Porsche 934 Turbo RSR. Now, having just passed the 30th Anniversary of the first Tamiya RC model, they are sold in markets both within the country and worldwide.

Tamiya America, Inc. sponsors the annual Tamiya/Con model contest and the Tamiya Championship Series races (TCS). TCS races are held monthly at venues around the country and culminate in the National Championship Event which is held once a year at the Tamiya America raceway that resides immediately adjacent to the distribution and administrative center. all the Tamiya products are available here at the largest online RC store.
