PRODUCT INFORMATION:
  • The Squash Van is a fun-to-drive big tire vehicle that is inspired by 1950’s American panel vans. The polycarbonate body shell sits on top of the new gear-driven 4WD GF-02 chassis, which is a variant of the comical GF-01. While the GF-01 chassis features a comical design, the GF- 02 chassis employs a more realistic wheelbase and a frame with ladder and pipe motifs.

This Limited-Edition version of the kit includes the body which is pre-painted in Cobalt Green (PS-54) with White (PS-1) roof and Smoke (PS-31) windows, pre-cut wheel arches and pre-made body mount holes, which is great for not only beginners but also R/C veterans.

    GF-02 chassis

The gear-driven 4WD GF-02 chassis features its motor in a low, central position in the lightweight, durable monocoque frame, and transmits power to front and rear via gears. The long wheelbase and wide tread setup ensure stable off-road performance. The slim frame features ladder/pipe motifs and features integrated sealed gearboxes which help keep stones out. Front and rear gear differentials allow smooth cornering, while separately sold pinion gears offer a choice from three types of gear ratios, and a motor guard enhances reliability off-road. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension employs four friction dampers, and the steering servo is positioned on the left with identical-length tie-rods.

    • 1/10 R/C assembly kit. Wheelbase: 267 mm
    • Front/Rear tread: F: 223mm / R: 221mm.
    • V-Block pattern Block Tires 122.8mm diameter.
    • Gear Ratios: 18T (18.03:1), 20T (16.23:1), 17T (19.09:1) Kit is supplied with 18 tooth pinion gear.
    • 4WS-four-wheel steering compatible with separately sold third-party 4WS function radio.
    • Body post position same as long wheelbase CC-02 chassis.
    • Includes 540 brushed type motor and ESC.
    • Required to complete: 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery with compatible charger.
    • The body requires cutting out, application of stickers and other work.

First In Quality Around the World
First In Quality Around the World
Since its start with educational wooden models in 1948, Tamiya has unswervingly striven to be "First in Quality Around the World". This refers not only to quality with respect to products, but also to its dedication to the hobby industry as a whole. From the planning, design, mold construction, molding, and packaging to the various forms of graphic design found on the packaging, assembly manuals, etc., Tamiya's in-house manufacturing process allows for attention to detail indispensable for the pursuit of hobby excellence.

The phrase "Tamiya Standard" has come to be used among modeling enthusiasts the world over to describe the high level of quality unique to Tamiya. In fact, Tamiya's scale models possess such intricate detail that they are often described by modelling connoisseurs as "museum items". This stalwart commitment to total quality has launched Tamiya to the forefront of the world's hobby industry, and continues to promise an exciting future.

It all started in 1946, when Mr. Yoshio Tamiya, the founder, opened a saw mill and lumber business in Shizuoka. Tamiya ventured into modeling in 1948, with a scale wooden ship model kit. Since then, Tamiya has continued to grow, producing models known as "First in Quality Around the World".

In 1976, Tamiya entered the RC market with their first RC model, the Porsche 934 Turbo RSR. Now, having just passed the 30th Anniversary of the first Tamiya RC model, they are sold in markets both within the country and worldwide.

Tamiya America, Inc. sponsors the annual Tamiya/Con model contest and the Tamiya Championship Series races (TCS). TCS races are held monthly at venues around the country and culminate in the National Championship Event which is held once a year at the Tamiya America raceway that resides immediately adjacent to the distribution and administrative center. all the Tamiya products are available here at the largest online RC store.
