Our August 2025 Builder of the Month is Scale Overlanding (David Barton), a UK-based scale modelling master renowned for his incredibly realistic and detailed Defender builds. He transforms Boom Racing BRX02 kits into unique creations, like extended-wheelbase 130s and a 6x6 camper, each featuring a full diorama-style interior. The ZIL Pickup is a fully molded ABS hard body with a 267mm wheelbase. Inspired by classic 1950s–60s pickups, it features a fully separated cab and bed, full interior, functional doors, hood, and tailgate. It includes a realistic radiator, rubber mirror frames with chrome mirrors, and a full drop bed with a built-in compartment for your battery. It has 10 LED light buckets and lenses for the optional KUDU light kit (future release). Side steps are included and integrated for the BRX01 AWB chassis.
