Oil Maintenance For Your RC

Today Asiatees will walk you through oil maintenance. During playing RC cars, you will meet with varies kinds of problems, such as tires wearing out too soon, shock oil leaking etc. To avoid them or fix of them, sometimes all you need is different oils.

The first oil we are going to talk about today is bearing oil. When you need to clean out bearings, this is what you will need. Also, bearing oil will help you slow down the speed of burning out bearings. If you run your racer in water you will need it to protect the stock bearings if they are not stainless steel. Stock bearings may rust quickly.

The second oil for today is differential oil. Please pay attention. Differential oil is high-class silicone oil, which has huge difference from our daily cooking oil or butter. Please don't apply any eatable oil to your racers, or else you will need more serious maintenance in the future. Differential oil provides the best and most consistent handling in most condition giving it solid axle like characteristics while being easier to drive and less susceptible to damage under heavy impact. With silicone oil, you will have better control coming out of the turns. Usually heavier is best for the front and lighter for the rear. You can adjust them according to your car.

If you've been using normal motor oil for your shock, you should definitely try silicone oil for your shocks. Silicone oil is the correct oil. The silicone base has much less friction and best lubrication internally. Put some between your finger and wipe off, there is still a nice glide of lubrication from the silicone. Try it out for once and you won't go back to motor oil again.
