Six Tamiya XV-01 Upgrades You Can't Miss
Boom Racing has released a new series of aluminum upgrades for Tamiya XV-01 and six of them are ones that you will never ever want to miss out. With some minor changes on the weak points, your XV-01 can become a much better one.
With a vehicle that is intended to serve as a common all-terrain platform, for sure you will run in everywhere. Steering blocks, hub carriers and arms then will be the points that got hit all the time. Switching them to aluminum ones will not only provide you some extra durability, but also some flexibility. Upgrades aren't just aluminum version of parts. They are all designed to have better angles, allowing more possibilities for the model.
Other than the main parts, one part has drawn my attention while running it. The front shocks, ones with the short ball-ends, let the chassis bottom out. But if you go with longer ball-ends, the shock travel length may not get increased accordingly. If you want a bit more height, you will need Boom Racing's shock set. You will get the most useful travel out of the shocks and even at full droop the ball joints will hit the suspension mounts just a bit.
