Meet Keith - Builder of the Month Father's Day Edition

Boom:

Can you tell us about yourself and how you got into the hobby?

Keith:
I go by the name Keith in the shed. My first hobby grade arrived on the first day of quarantine 2020 and I was having a blast. I found out quickly that going slow was my thing and picked up a crawler. Also, since I had so much free time, I built a large obstacle course in the backyard.

Boom:

What was the hardest thing about being a dad and what surprised you?

Keith:

The hardest thing about being a dad for me is when they get hurt. Especially if it was another kid. Handling those situations takes a lot of patience and self-control. It surprised me how important the little things are to them. A hug here and there and just being there sometimes can make their day better.

Boom:
What Boom Racing products do you have experience with? Share some insights about what you like about them.

Keith:
I just have a BRX01, but it’s been my daily driver for over two years. That kind of says it all there; these trucks are fantastic.

Boom:

What are your favorite R/C moments with your dad/children?

Keith:
We always play until the truck rolls over, then it’s someone else’s turn. The kids have gotten very good at keeping the wheels down and they make me proud.

Boom:
Who or what inspires you in the hobby?

Keith:
Mostly Facebook groups and YouTube videos. I am trailing by myself 99% of the time, so I get all my inspiration from nature and the internet.

Boom:
Do you have any tips or advice for others in the hobby?

Keith:
Don’t scratch the paint! Haha, just have fun with what you’re doing and get outside in some nature.
