[VIDEO] FatShark 5G8 Diversity Module Coming Soon
Here at ATees we're all about diversity. We believe in equal opportunity of RF signals, or something. Which is why we're super hype about this upcoming 5G8 module for FatShark goggles.
When used with directional and omni antennae, the 5G8 module basically selects the best RF signal from dual antenna inputs, comparing the sync pulses it's getting from the antenna sources. It's a creative solution that allows people to match the quality they get from RRSI based dual RX solutions but at a lower price point and half the power draw. Now you can get the benefit of an 360 omni antenna combined with the visual quality from a directional one!
Below you can see the tester comparing the quality of the video signal received with and without the 5G8 module.
